Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Exeter, the Hampton Rotary Club was chartered on March 22, 1969.   We are a diverse group of businessmen & women, presently numbering 70 (+/-) members, who have been giving of ourselves through our time and our resources for the betterment of the local community for nearly 40 years!

Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self" and our members live it --- by being very, very active and making a difference in the Hampton, North Hampton, Hampton Falls and Seabrook Communities. It is through this humanitarian effort of our members that we achieve our mission and our goal of promoting peace and understanding throughout the world.

Each year our club awards almost $50,000 in donations to many local charities, and we have many service community events where we offer our labor assistance throughout the year.   Some of our major fundraisers include our Annual Online Auction, the 5K Road Race, our involvement with the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, Pizza Bowl Contest and many, many more service projects.

We are also involved internationally.  Some of our members have traveled to India to help our fellow Indian Rotarians administer polio vaccine to all the area children between the ages of zero to five.  Polio Plus is one of Rotary International’s most renowned programs.  Instituted in 1985, it was Rotary International’s goal to help the World Health Organization wipe polio off the face of the earth.  With only a couple of small pockets of Africa and India left, we are almost there.

Furthering our international pursuits, we collaborated with fellow Rotarians in Poland to help a special needs school with equipment to support rehabilitation services for their children, specifically by providing an elevator and computers with peripherals and teaching software.  Another recent international project provides clean water for a hospital in Haiti.
